Computer Science in Economics (German Diplom Degree, job-concurrent degree)

The postgraduate programme is designed for engineering, business, and computer science students. As well as the foundations of economics, this degree will develop knowledge in the areas of computer science and business informatics. This will allow you to master tasks already being carried out and gain practical skills to be applied in new areas of work. Subject-specific skills as well as concepts, methodology and social skills are essential parts of the programme.

The aim of the degree is to train graduates who wish to link their subject-specific knowledge with knowledge from the computer science and business informatics sectors. As a student of this programme, you will be qualified to take on positions in companies, which demand competence in the area of business informatics. You will be competent in conceptualising, analysing, designing and decision-making, when it comes to business tasks. As well as this, you will be up-to-date with the latest scientific concepts to be able to provide comprehensive practical solutions and manage tasks more responsibly and effectively.

Should you wish to apply for this degree programme, you will need to have already completed a qualification from a university of applied sciences, which qualifies you for a profession in the areas of business administration, engineering, or a combination of both areas with a minimum of one year practical experience.
