3. For what purposes and on what legal basis will your personal data be processed?

Your personal data will be used in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Saxon Data Protection Implementation Act (Sächsisches Datenschutzdurchführungsgesetz) and all other relevant data protection regulations. The collection and processing of this data is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b GDPR. It is necessary in order to organise the event in accordance with the currently valid regulations on vaccination protection and to fulfil the reporting obligations towards the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

4. Who will be processing your data?

Your personal data will be passed on to the persons and offices entrusted within the UAS Zwickau with the specific task of organising the event.

Furthermore, we are obliged to make the following data available to the DAAD:

  • surname and first name
  • country of habitual residence before studying in Zwickau

5. What data will be collected and how long will your data be stored?

The following data will be collected when you submit your application:

  • surname and first name
  • country of habitual residence before studying in Zwickau
  • email-address (voluntary information)

We process and store your personal data as long as this is necessary for the fulfilment of our contractual and legal obligations. If the data is no longer required for the fulfilment of contractual or legal obligations, it will be deleted in due time.

6. What rights can data subjects assert?

You have the right to revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time for the future. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation is not affected by this.

In addition, you are entitled to the following rights if the legal requirements are met:

  • Right of access to personal data concerning you (Article 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectify inaccurate personal data concerning you (Article 16 GDPR)
