Password change

In order to increase your security when using the network infrastructure of WHZ, a cyclical password change will be mandatory for all users in our house with immediate effect. The time frame used for this change is 1 year. For you, this means that you must change your password at least once a year.

Please note that the password change is only accessible within the WHZ (also via VPN)!
to the VPN dial-in

Notes: The new password will take effect in 5 minutes after the change.

Please change your newly received password immediately!

  • The password must not be passed on to other persons.
  • The password should not be written down, but learned by memory.
  • When entering the password, make sure that no one is watching the entry.
  • Never leave the workstation/PC without logging off. Lock the screen when leaving for a short time.
  • The password should (in the WHZ network MUST) be changed regularly.

The following rules must be observed when changing a password within the WHZ network:

  • At least 10 characters long
  • Contains at least one lowercase letter
  • contains at least one capital letter
  • contains at least one number
  • contains a special character from this list: , . - # +_ : { | } = $ ( )
  • Do not use ä ö ü ß and spaces

For example, think of an easy-to-remember sentence (a motto or proverb is also good). Create your password from the first letters of the words in this sentence, including punctuation and inserted numbers.

Please note that old passwords can NOT be reused. Use a new password that meets our guidelines each time you change it.

You will be notified by email three times before your password expires (6 weeks before, 2 weeks before, and one day before) when your password will expire and how to change your password. This e-mail will be signed by ZKI in order to exclude possible attempts of deception by third parties.

In case of loss of the password or expiration of the change period, a personal appearance at the user office of the ZKI is necessary!
